I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about! Maybe the service is a little slow, but EVERYTHING we had was delicious! Their chips aren't homemade, which admittedly, made us nervous, but the salsa, guacamole, shrimp Diablo, beans, shrimp & octopus tostada (ceviche) and VIP roll were delicious!! The flavor profiles of everything we tried, we loved. Couldn't eat it all. Had two pineapple jalapeño margaritas, which I HIGHLY recommend. I was surprised: they drink wasn't hot and the jalapeño were tasty after marinating in tequila! Don't believe the reviews: the food is delicious. The Mariachis are a bit loud, but endearing. And the bar is nice on a Friday night.

We came here expecting the worst and were pleasantly surprised. My first comment and I hope they really take it to heart...please ditch the stale bag of chips and add salt to your salsa. It's your first impression!! We got the hot Cheeto roll and my husband really enjoyed it. I thought it was ok but I don't like cream cheese in my sushi and it's in EVERY roll. I wish they had some without it. As for the tacos. YES! the fish taco, prime streak, and shrimp tacos were great!! My husband's margaritas were awesome and the service at the bar was amazing! The mariachi was a nice touch as well! If they upped their chips and salsa we would probably go back.

I had a lot of fun at this restaurant. There are many GREAT things about it. First of all a recommendation to try the Aguachiles, which I did not try as I am mildly allergic to shrimp. This proved to be a problem as I found ALMOST EVRYTHING on the menu had shrimp in it (I didn't check out the kids menu as I went with the ladies, we wanted fun!) The "entraña" tacos were absolutely delicious, and also proved to be the most economical item on the menu. The happy hour menu was nowhere in sight but I was told the margaritas and tacos were included. So I don't know if our never frozen steak tacos were billed at the happy hour price or not. The rolls we ate were amazing and delicious. The presentation was superb. The sauces provided were delicious. I tried some of the ceviche and it was delicious but I wished there was more tuna options. The drinks were a major disappointment. They are priced high and the alcohol content was super low. I usually get buzzed off one drink. My friends and I each had the featured cocktails in their signature glasses, and none of us was satisfied with the amount of liquor. We ordered the "Duck" to celebrate a birthday and they charged an ASTRONOMICAL $80 for the ten shots it came with-and only ONE had any tequila or vodka in it. Now I realize that the presentation with the staff singing is part of the appeal and novelty here- and they pulled it off with success! It was super fun and high energy-but for that price I would have preferred only 5 well executed mangoneada shots w liquor-rather than 9 mango only and only one w liquor. I'm not sure how long they have been there so I will be kind about the service-but when the bill is that much money I expect better service. We had to snag the waiter from a different section several times, and there was another couple of random servers that checked on us and brought the bill and checked us out. We were there early at around 5:30/6-so it wasn't busy. I don't know what the issue was. I don't think it will keep me from returning but I'll probably have a Michélada next time since it will be more difficult to skimp on the alcohol content. We were informed that there is live music on Friday and Saturdays but I was unable to find this out by looking on Yelp or anywhere else. Their take on seafood is different if your not used to Mexican style. But if I want a big halibut steak or oysters this is not the place to go. Lure still has better cocktails for the same price.

Ok, everyone is totally bashing this place, and I was sooooo hesitant to even come here. Went on Cinco de Mayo, around 4PM. We were promptly greeted as we entered, and were able to choose our table. Hostess was very friendly. The waiter came over quickly afterwards and was very nice. He recommended some drinks and apps. We put our drink order in first, and said we would decide on some apps. Drinks came out quickly, and, wow! My Cadillac marg was strong, just as I like it! My friends enjoyed their drinks as well, and went ahead and ordered a happy hour appetizer. The ambiance is also very nice, and the restaurant is clean. I don't know if they got their act together because they knew it would be potentially busy for them on Cinco de Mayo, but I have no complaints. Ok, actually minus one star because they don't serve the fried chips with salsa. They are the bulk kind you buy at Costco. Also, the salsa was good, but I like a chunkier salsa with some heat. This was a watery salsa with good flavor still. It's probably a different style, just not my preference.
